The addition of INVSN at this year's Eurosonic not only gives the festival one more talented new band on the line up, it also adds music history. This Swedish five-piece from Umea's frontman is singer/guitarist Dennis Lyxzén. A veteran musician and a true hero in the louder musical genres, Lyxzén used to sing in bands like the legendary Refused and The Noise Conspiracy. INVSN started out as his solo project and gradually evolved into a band of friends. The sound is best described as post-punk/dystopic pop. They started out with the name Invasionen and performed their songs in Swedish, but they changed their name to INVSN and made their first English spoken album this year.
