Born in Hexham U.K. to an army family, one of life’s few constants proved to be the influence of strong working women. First via Jade's mother and grandmother, and later via role models from troubled, but empowering country heroines like Loretta Lynn and iconic alternative songwriters like Patti Smith and confessional pure pop artists like Alanis Morisette. Her first EP, Something American, twists those genres’ themes – disillusionment, divorce, cheating, sorrow – into the realities of an independent-minded British teenager in 2017. She headed out to support Son Little in America in November.
