JNR Williams fell in love with music at 6, when his teacher played music by Louis Armstrong. First with R&B, but through his grandmother he found jazz. Contemporary artists like James Blake, Moses Sumney and The Weeknd shaped his sound. The native of London studied at the British Academy of New Music, and now JNR’s honest and emotional music positions him as a voice for the future.
