Within a few years Kees van Hondt became a household name at Holland's famous Lowlands-festival. His ever increasing popularity forced the organisation to move Kees to bigger and bigger stages. In 2010 and 2011 Kees closed the Sziget festival in Hungary. In 2010 he surprised 6000 people. In 2011 10.000 people were partying like crazy, and 2000 couldn't even get in. In 2011 he also made his debut at the Bestival in Engeland. The result was likewise. Its fair to say Kees is a one of a kind dj who solely redefined the meaning of the word feast/fest/feest/party. His musical choices are deeply rooted in the pan-european folktradition. Unique, rare, silly but always easy accessible, utterly cheerful and very happy. Once in a while he surprises by dropping a tune which is proven to be in the collective memory of festival crowds all over Europe.
