KiT
ESNS: 2014
The name Kuenta i Tambu (abbreviated to KiT) means 'stories and drums' in Papiamento, the language spoken on the Dutch Islands of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire. While teaching children at Dutch schools about the culture of these often forgotten parts of the Netherlands the teachers decided to form KiT. Their explosive combination of traditional Afro-Caribbean music with European dance has been dubbed 'Tambutronic' and is appreciated worldwide, judging by their gigs all over the world.
