She has got the sun in her voice. That is what you get from growing up on the islands St. Maarten and Curaçao. At a young age Kris Berry became enchanted by the voices of Patsy Cline and Nina Simone. She danced to the music of latin heroes like Juan Luis Guerra en Rubén Blades. While she worked in Barcelona her love grew for jazz artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole. Kris Berry has been singing for years but to sing for an audience was something else. Luckily she decided to take that step because Paul Willemsen (guitar player for Zuco 103 and Lefties Soul Connection) was impressed right away. Together they made an EP.
