An award winning scratching virtuoso DJ teams up with an internationally acclaimed classical string quartet. DJ Kypski is a six-time National Scratching Champion and member of C-Mon & Kypski. The Matangi String Quartet has been a top ensemble in classical music since 1999. They are often characterized as communicative, provocative and refreshingly versatile. They are affectionately being called a classical rock & roll band. The new Kypski & Matangi show will introduce a truly hybrid form of classical and dance music in its broadest sense. Matangi and the DJ actually play together, as if Kypski was the fifth member of a quintet. This show flows seamlessly from hiphop to minimal music, from electro to baroque, from dubstep to experimental, from house to disco. Classical music has never sounded this youthful.
