Luik is the project by Lukas Dikker, musician from Utrecht. After three rehearsals and a few recorded songs the band had to perform their first gig and more followed quickly. Luik's music is described as indierock with a bit of lo-fi and noise. It has also been said that it is dark, whispering slowcore where leafs permanently seem to fall of trees, cars always have a flat tire and a lift-off seems impossible. There have been made comparisons with Julian Lynch, John Frusciante, Beach House and Sparklehorse. Luik did a lot of shows, even in Belgium. If needed they improvise on stage. Because they give what the concert and the atmosphere asks for.
