Maarja Nuut is a skilled violinist and a talented singer. She is from the north of Estonia, and combines traditional folk songs with electronic sounds. She loops her violin melodies, which she then sings and plays over, producing experimental music with a folky edge. In 2013, her debut album Soolo was released, and her second album is set for release this year.
