At 12 years-old Mahalia was already picking up a guitar and penning love songs. With her soulful tones, wise wordplay and intuitive sense of melody, her natural musicality was apparent. Now the young woman from Leicester has dropped three EP’s plus 2016's genre-flipping mixtape Diary of Me. In 2015 she lent her voice to Rudimental's summer anthem We The Generation, exposing her to a wider audience. Mahalia’s music is a rich slice of R&B that recalls Erykah Badu, Sade and Lauryn Hill, but sprinkled with originality and pushed into the present day.
