Marina Herlop joins the Primavera Label with her single ‘Miu’. The Barcelona-based artist invites the listener into her otherworldly dreamscape, where she is experimenting for the first time with konnakol (South Indian) syllables and Karnatic rhythms as well as harnessing a processed voice and electronics. She released her debut album ‘Nanook’ on James Rhodes’ Instrumental label in 2016 and second album ‘Babasha’ on Aloud Music in 2018. The compositions on both records are almost entirely piano-based, an approach that she has recently deviated from as she opens up to the possibilities of electronics.
