Ricky van Duuren is a famous name in Groningen as well as in The Netherlands. He is a cartoonist, for the Vera paper, amongst others. Besides that he had a past as the bass player of the famous Dutch punk band De Boegies and he is still in the band De Straaljagers together with Barbara Stok. And furthermore he is known as My Friend Television. In that project he sounds somewhat like the middle between Daniel Johnston and Sparklehorse. Just his raw voice, a guitar, beautiful songs and great lyrics. That's all you need for good music.
