Magical things can happen at the crossroads between cultures. Take for example the British singer/pianist Nadine Shah - she's the daughter of a Norwegian mother and a Pakistani father and she was raised in England. Her background as a jazz-singer is reflected in the subtle way she sings her gorgeously arranged guitar songs. Her debut album, Love your Dum and Mad was released in July and was well received by the critics.
