The EP's Courgette and Moestuin demonstrated Dutch quartet Nouveau Velo's love for lush, quirky melodies wrapped in a lo-fi sound. Then, with the six-song EP Daze, released in 2013 on Subroutine Records, the music's subtle structure revealed itself a little more. After that, the band's self-titled album, which came out at the end of September 2014, proved to be quite a departure from previous music, with a cleaner and even more individual pop sound.
