Valgeir Sigurðsson is a household name nowadays. The Icelandic musician was a technician on many Björk albums, at the moment he is widely known as the producer of Cocorosie, Moddi, Magic Numbers and Feist. Sigurðsson also heard the talent in the voice of Olivia Pedroli. The Swiss began her music career als Lole. The 29 year old singer is schooled as a violin player, but was noticed in 2003 because of her songs and singing. Debut The Smell Of Wait (2005) and second album Sugar and Dry (2007) made her the folk lady to watch. Her strings involved past makes that especially the cello is never far away in her music. The great appreciation for her music got Pedroli many gigs in different countries. Iceland for instance where she met Sigurðsson. The two agreed to record her third album in Reykjavik. The Den (2010), at the crossroads between classical, folk and experimental music is a very personal album. That's why she decided to drop the name Lole and continue under her own name.
