Onipa means ‘human’ in Akan, the ancient language of the Ashanti people of Ghana, and it’s a message of connection through collaboration. From Ghana to London, our ancestors to our children, Onipa brings energy, groove, electronics, Afro-futurism, dance and fire. K.O.G and Tom Excell worked on their own projects for years (K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade and Nubiyan Twist), but now they have teamed up to create something new, stripped back and raw, full of deep grooves and fierce energy.
