Difficult name? It just means Pertti Kurikka’s Name Day. Pertti Kurikka is mentally handicapped and decided to form a band during a workshop for adults with disabilities. Kurikka is a hardcore punk, so there was no other option than to form a punk band inspired by Finnish punk bands from the last millennium, such as Karanteeni, Ratsia, Sensuuri and Pelle Miljoona. The band became very popular very quickly helped by the movie The Punk Syndrome, about punk and how handicapped people rebel against the mainstream. It is impossible not to love these guys.
