Pete Philly is back. The MC used to be one half of Pete Philly & Perquisite. Now, as a solo artist, the Amsterdam based musician is producer and MC all in one. Pete Philly & Perquisite decided to  end their collaboration on the peak of their career in 2009. Their album Mystery Repeats is to date the highest charting hip-hop album in their home country, and was the first ever hip-hop album to claim the highest position in the critics’ poll of acclaimed German music magazine Visions. The band shared stages with Kanye West and the late James Brown, and performed at the main European music festivals. On Pete Philly's new album the quality remains. Great hiphop, with a lot of soul and jazz. Something the whole of Europe likes to hear. Pete and his new band have already performed in cities such as Hamburg, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Vienna and Zurich. He is cherished in The Netherlands and it is again a great moment to welcome him back to Groningen.
