You may recognize him from the live shows and records of John Talabot, but now he's touring his project called Pional. His name is Miguel Barros, he comes from Madrid and he's been working on Pional material since 2006. Barros ties melancholy piano sounds with bittersweet vocals and distorted drum machines into tracks that work really well on the dance floor. His first EP was released in 2010 on Talabot's label, Hivern Discs. His influences stem from disco, krautrock and house. He's remixed How To Dress Well, The Rapture and The xx among others. His latest EP, Amenza/Invisible was released in October on the hip Young Turks label.
