Platon Karataev, named after a Leo Tolstoy character, formed in 2016. After the instant success of their 2017 debut record ‘For Her’, the Hungarian indie quartet gradually moved away from their acoustic sound to a broader, more inclusive one. With a heavier instrumentation, successor ‘Atoms’ (2020) focuses on speaking about the most universal but also the most personal level with catharsis being a key element. The new album, ‘Partért kiáltó’, continues to dive into the collective subconscious and will be followed by their first pan-European tour.
