Real Farmer is an idiosyncratic (post)punk four-piece from Groningen. What started out as a group of friends writing punk songs together, grew into a close-knit band who take influences from the intensity that drives contemporary punk and blues. The lyrics cover themes of loneliness, heartache and finding your place in the world. Debut album Compare What’s There finds its members concocting fast-paced, driving songs with wiry riffs, propelling drums, and winding melodies, where angular punk songs alternate with melancholic post-punk.
