Even though knob twisters, rappers, singer-songwriters and electric indie-boys with guitars have been dominating the music world these last few years, there's still room for some conventional noise rock. Especially if the band is as solid as this duo from Brighton, whose noisy rock bears the echoes of Muse and Shellac. Their sound comes straight out of the eighties but they manage to put a contemporary edge to it. Their debut single, Out Of The Black is a heavy-but-melodic, sweaty affair of pounding drums, shouts and walls of guitars. They were picked by the Arctic Monkeys to support them on their upcoming tour.
