Svavar Knútur is a genuine troubadour, singing heartfelt, folky tunes in his mother tongue as well as in English. Apart from his acoustic guitar, there are also some stunning strings and ethereal sonic textures to be heard on his most recent album Brot (2015), where his songs breathe a breath of warmth into underlying melancholy.
