Sŵnami sing in the Welsh language and create their own unique brand of alternative/indie music. They chose their band name to convey a wave of sound, with 'swn' being a play on the Welsh word for sound. The style of the band is rocky with synths, and is inspired by groups like The Maccabees and Arctic Monkeys. The band have built up an impressive list of supporters in the music industry, with BBC radio introducing them as 'Band of the Week', alongside successful performances at important Welsh festivals including FOCUS Wales, SWN and Wakestock.
