The name ‘The Overslept’ is taken from cult film Back To The Future. The band also links past and present by playing traditional pop punk in a contemporary way. 2016 saw the release of second EP Guidelines. The Overslept also took part in the Popronde, a big Dutch talent tour, and played an after show for Panic! At The Disco. Soon after the group from Hilversum inked a deal with the 8ball label, and they have since followed up in 2017 with a string of singles and a fall tour.
