The Rumour Said Fire has that magical force to write irresistible pop songs. The Danish band based around the talented songwriting of lead singer Jesper Lidang was in their early days described as inspired by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and The Shins, while the melodies and lyrics would remind of Simon & Garfunkel and Bob Dylan with a twist of The Byrds. Everyone loved their first EP The Life & Death Of A Male Body, yet the band first wanted to make a proper debut album before going on an extensive tour. So they did a series of high profile festival performances, including Roskilde in front of 20.000 people. Now there is The Arrogant a ten-song album after which The Rumour Said Fire can travel the world.
