The Visual, an Amsterdam-based outfit, revolves around our most acute perceptions. Our awakenings. Our sense of being. Like a living organism, their music traverses and wanders out on its own. The group has been taking The Netherlands by storm since the release of their debut EP Translation in 2017 at a sold out Melkweg in Amsterdam, becoming one of the most hotly tipped bands emerging in the Dutch music scene, with significant coverage on important tastemaker platforms, and support from streaming, radio and press. They were named 'One To Watch in 2019' by Dutch broadcaster 3VOOR12, and their recent single 'Figure' was premiered by U.K. blog Gigwise, who stated: ‘Anna van Rij’s voice, cool and evanescent as the morning dew, veers between melancholy lethargy and emotionally wrought upper-register bends. Partner in crime Timon Persoon does his ‘voodoo soundman’ bit on keys, crafting a proper three-dimensional sound landscape at the tender locus of soundtrack and songwriting’. The Visual will release their full length debut album 'Moments of Being' on UK/NL based label Mink Records on March 31st.
