The Dutch/Finnish Town of Saints started as a busking act in 2010 when Harmen Ridderbos (NL) and Heta Salkolahti (FI) met each other in the mountains of Austria. The duo spent the following five years touring extensively throughout Europe and grew from an upbeat indiefolk act to a 5-piece groove machine.Town of Saints' upcoming album 'No Place Like This' is along the lines of Arcade Fire, Local Natives and Paul Simon's Graceland. The record mixes tropical and darker influences, rich in both minimalistic elements and big orchestral arrangements. It is the follow-up on the 2013 release 'Something To Fight With', which was acclaimed for both in the Netherlands and internationally. It resulted in performing over 130 shows in 11 European countries throughout 2014 and Town of Saints being proclaimed as one of the most promising Dutch artists that year, with a Finnish twist.
