The four members of Veronica Falls met at a Comet Gain show. They hit it of that well that they decided to say goodbye to their bands The Royal We and Sexy Kids. A good choice, because their music is very much appreciated. "The sexiest damn lo-fi pop group to have stalked these shores in quite some time", NME wrote. Dutch venue Paradiso announced them as "nice resonating indie pop, with influences from fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties, a bit like the British version of the Vivian Girls, with a hunch of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart." The eponymous debut album has been described as a collection of serene pop nuggets – think C-86 reverentially smothered in dark 60s psyche-pop.
