The ex-band members of Surma were soon acclaimed as the big Portuguese indie hope in 2016 and Whales performed at big events like NOS ALIVE. They stopped touring to create their own sound and a debut LP, which was released in March 2018 and promoted it with a three week tour through seven countries, followed by two months of touring Portugal.
