Wolvon is a three-piece from right here in Groningen. They released their debut album, Folds in 2013 and it was well received by the Dutch music press. Folds is a perfect mix of The Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth and Joy Division. This noise rock band has an excellent reputation for their live shows, which are characterized by distorted guitars and lots of sweat and hair. Their overall sound is a mixture of heavy guitar walls, pounding drums and distortion, all carried across through dreamy pop melodies.
