Singer-songwriter Marije de Vries and producer/guitarist Patrick Schaafstal are a couple that used to play separately in different bands. After their bands split up, they decided to combine their talents. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Feist, Beach House and Radiohead they started writing songs together. It was supposed to be a one-off project, but the response they received and the quality of the songs they wrote made them decide otherwise. The sound of Wonder is made of angelic vocals and subtle arrangements with lots of space in between. Their EP was released at the end of 2012 and a full-length record is scheduled for 2014. When they play live they perform as a six-piece.
