It's the (streaming) economy, stupid!

The streaming business has brought growth back into the music industry. But is this growth fairly shared between all stakeholders — artists, songwriters, labels, publishers, and streaming services? Several recent studies have pointed at imbalances in the way the proceeds from streaming are re-distributed. This session will take a look at the state of the streaming economy and how it affects songwriters and artists. The session will start with a short presentation of the GESAC study on the economy of streaming from the perspective of authors and composers
