Bruce Pavitt was born in Chicago in 1959, and is most noted for co-founding Seattle’s Sub Pop Records, along with business partner Jon Poneman. The label helped launch the careers of Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney and the Seattle grunge scene. Bruce is now working with Modify, an interactive-music software company.
