Dries Van Herreweghe graduated cum laude as a sociologist at the University of Antwerp in 2015 with a major in social demography and a minor in medical sociology. Since 2016 he is a research associate at the Research Institute for Work and Society (HIVA-KU Leuven) within the research group Work, Organisation and Social Dialogue. There he participates in a wide range of research, varying from research on industrial relations, projects regarding the integration and re-integration of individuals with disabilities into the labour market as well as music and music education. Finally, Dries works as a national correspondent for Eurofound, the European Agency for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions commissioned by the European Commission. Apart from his professional career, he has been a performing bass player since the age of 13 with 5 years of experience as a music teacher in bass guitar.
