Matties Grooten is a Dutch composer and technology expert who combines his passion for film music with innovative technologies. He is co-founder of Manglemoose, a progressive collective of five audio technologists who specialize in music and sound design for media. At Manglemoose, Grooten and his team intensively research how AI is transforming the future of music production and composition. They experiment daily with new technologies and explore how artificial intelligence can be used as a creative tool for composers and producers. This research focuses not only on the technical possibilities but also on how AI can fundamentally change and enrich the creative industry. Matties shares his expertise on AI and music production through workshops and lectures, including presentations during Media Literacy Week and the "AI & the Music Industry" conference in Amsterdam. In 2020, he broadened his horizons by co-founding 'Fake It or Leave It' with his brother, an innovative company specializing in AI-generated videos.
