Playing on global stages is the dream of many European artists. But what does it take to get booked at a global festival? In this panel, we explore how global festivals look at European music repertoire.
Representatives from global festivals will share their insights into how they discover new European talent, what they look for in an artist and how these artists from a different continent connect with their audiences. They will also discuss what artists and their teams need to do to build strategies that lead to long-term global careers rather than one-off showcases.
This panel is presented by European Talent Exchange, a programme under the wings of ESNS. European Talent Exchange is a collaboration between 130 partner festivals, 26 European music export offices, 31 EBU radio stations and Yourope to fast-track the next wave of European artists by getting them on international stages. Together, they turn up the volume on fresh voices from every genre, language, and identity. The programme is cofunded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
