Men Only: How to Talk About Women When Women Aren’t in the Room

English spoken
The only time a “men only” session makes sense is when it focuses on how men talk about women among themselves, and why this matters. Misogyny isn’t always overt. Much of it lives in unconscious bias, internalised stereotypes, and the everyday ways men speak about women when they think no one is listening.

This session equips participants with tools to recognise those biases, reframe harmful narratives, and take action in real-world situations, whether at networking events, in boardrooms, backstage, or in everyday workplace conversations. Being an ally is not just about supporting women when they are present, but especially when they are absent.

You’ll have the chance to bring your own questions, and together we’ll explore case studies that highlight how bias and bigotry show up in male-dominated spaces. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with practical strategies and a set of ready-to-use phrases to confidently intervene and reshape conversations. Not only will you strengthen your own awareness, but you’ll also make a tangible difference for the women around you.
