The Baltic Way – Introducing a new generation of regional movers & shakers

Probably there is no place where Europe is calling louder than the Baltic States. Three European nations with a distinct identity, language and culture, that share a history of totalitarian oppression. On August 23, approximately two millions citizens joined hands across border, connecting the three capitals. This peaceful protest went into history books as one of the most impressive manifestations for independence on the continent. In the 36 years after, and joining the European Union in 2004, the countries developed into flourishing cultural hubs, with a relevant music infrastructure. In this panel we discuss the regional developments in music, emerging talent, the various festivals and international tours, with three formidable female music professionals.
