As a kid, music could give Elias Mazian the feeling of a time capsule where nothing else mattered, and he still tries to convey that feeling in every DJ-set. The Dutchman, a firm fixture on the capital’s club circuit, takes inspiration from the music he grew up with – Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder – as well as more contemporary flames like Omar-S, Zip and Beautiful Swimmers. Last summer Mazian released debut album Vrij Van Dromen through Job Jobse’s label De Vlieger, and Rush Hour.
