With their home-made guitars, dark, lyrical surrealism and heavy, psychedelic blues attack, Spain's Guadalupe Plata could easily be described as a more sinister, cobweb-covered version of The Doors. Their impressive self-titled LP feels like it arrived from some bygone era, with songs that skim between playful whimsy and frenzied delirium.
