Grand Sun emerged in Lisbon in 2016, a melting pot for a new wave of indie rock projects. The band debuted with psychedelic pop records that reflect on their first influences, while also remaining linked to their Portuguese roots. In 2022 they realised their own post-punk revival, influenced by acts such as Shame, Parquet Courts and DIIV, while reflecting lyrically about the social nuances in Portugal and the inevitable setbacks of adult life.
