Wacław Zimpel is one of Poland’s most adventurous multi-instrumentalists, composers and producers, thriving on jazz yet equally inspired by electronics, minimalism and global roots. Having graduated on classical clarinet at the Music Academy in Poznań, Zimpel loves riffing on his rare alto clarinet, casting aside the classical dogma for a salvation in jazz and the burning desire to improvise. He is an expert in manipulation of urban-ritual electronics and loops anchored to a human perspective, alongside the folk-trance tradition, and has collaborated with artists includingJames Holden and Shackleton.
