Edith Severs started her career in the music industry at Buma/Stemra as the coordinator of the audiovisual department, where she was also responsible for handling all sync licenses, which at that time went through the CBO.
After her time at Buma/Stemra, she worked as a professional manager at Zomba Music Group, overseeing their music libraries in the Benelux and GAS territories. Zomba Music Publishing was acquired by BMG in 2002.
She founded her own independent music publishing company, Copyright Power International, in 2000. Since then, it has grown into a successful independent music publishing company and royalty collector for artists, composers, publishers, and agencies, with a specialization in managing international royalty flows, sync licensing, and a boutique music library called Liberry.
She serves on the board of the Dutch Music Publishers Association (NMUV) and holds a position on the Supervisory Board of the Dutch copyright organization Buma/Stemra.
