Hans van den Hurk (1968) is director of studies at Fontys Rockacademie in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and session musician (drummer).

Rockacademie was in 1999 one of the first bachelor of music studies with a focus on pop (incl. hiphop/dance/singer-songwriter etc.) music, with an innovative curriculum . Alumni are mainly active in the Dutch music industry, well known alumni are Duncan Laurence, Floor Jansen, Flemming, Krezip and Eefje de Visser.

As a drummer Hans has been working with several Dutch acts, and is still working at Night of the Proms, where he shared the stage with (amongst others) Nile Rodgers and Chic, Toto, Seal, Gloria Estefan, Chaka Khan, Alan Parsons and Michael McDonald.
