Ian transitioned from a performing musician, driven to study environmental science by a growing awareness of ecological issues, to an internationally-known sustainability specialist. Now, with over two decades of experience in senior and leadership roles in over thirty countries across five continents, he has assisted a diverse range of companies, government agencies and NGOs to reach sustainability goals. Ian has access to an extensive international network in environmental science, sustainable business, and the music and creative industries. He combines the work of his sustainability consultancy Ecotunes www.eco-tunes.com with his position as Senior Science Advisor at Climate Analytics www.climateanalytics.org, a science and policy institute with 130 staff working from offices all over the world. Under the Green Deal Circular Festivals, Ian is facilitating the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the European events and festival sector, collaborating closely with recognized sustainability frontrunners to encourage the whole industry to strategize and implement environmentally responsible practices.
