Izabela Izzy Rekowska is the leading force behind the rock band Izzy and the Black Trees which she founded back in 2018. She is a songwriter, singer and also picks up the guitar while performing with the Black Trees. In 2023 she joined Keychange development programme aimed to educate how to introduce a better gender balance and inclusivity in the music industry. The latest album of the band, Revolution Comes In Waves, is full of socially and politically involved songs. Those punk and alt rock hymns can strongly resonate not only in their home country of Poland but all over the world.
