Maaike Muis is a dynamic moderator, podcast creator, and cultural connector with over twenty years of experience in the arts and creative industries. Known for her vibrant personality (and equally colorful self-made wardrobe), she excels at crafting meaningful conversations that bridge visionary ideas with everyday realities.

As the former artistic director of Circusstad Festival in Rotterdam, Maaike transformed the city into the circus capital of the Netherlands. Over twelve years, she spearheaded talent development programs, international collaborations, citywide participation projects, and the launch of the Dutch Circus Showcase. Her leadership accelerated the development of contemporary circus in the country.

Maaike has programmed for renowned festivals such as Motel Mozaïque, Over het IJ festival, and Amsterdam Roots Festival. Today she connects stories as a moderator and podcast maker, inspiring professionals and audiences.
