The Spanish Wave, Fira Trovgam, Valencia Music Office, Intitus Estudis Balearics, AIE, Fundación SGAE present three of the most exciting artists from the mediterranean regions of Spain.
ALEXABRIL is a young duo from Mallorca and Barcelona blending future jazz, flamenco, classical and pop in a intense live show with thumping drums, driven keyboards and beautiful vocals. They just came from touring Korea & Japan with huge success performing in Zandari Festa, Tokyo and Kyoto.
CALIFATO 3⁄4 is a band from Andalusia, Spain, whose songs blend musical tradition with modern genres such as rock, electronic music, and punk. They have described their style as futuristic folklore. Their songs have a strong Andalusian identity, reinventing flamenco culture and idiosyncrasies from a perspective that is both respectful and irreverent. Their lyrics, as well as the song titles, are written in Êttandâ pal andalûh, a stylized Andalusian dialect. Ideas that were outlined in a manifesto published by the group.
ESTHER is a young pop act from Valencia who sings in Valencian language and since her beginnings in 2021 with Les teues ales (her debut EP), ESTHER has established an unstoppable career. With over 80 concerts in the last two years, including major festivals, she has emerged as a live phenomenon, noted for her energy and her ability to connect with the audience. Her first album, Les cartes que mai vaig cremar (2022), positioned her as one of the most promising voices on the Valencian music scene. Now, with the release of her new album, she opens a new chapter that solidifies her as the most relevant artist in Valencian-language pop. With her new album Tot comença (2025), she takes a sonic shift towards a more guitar-driven and energetic pop, inspired by the rebellious essence of pop-punk. Influenced by the 2000s, she combines nostalgia with fresh production, creating a sound that is as innovative as it is evocative. Songs like ‘La millor de les mentires’, ‘Tot comença’, and ‘Torno a mi’ mark the beginning of a new era in her career, based on strength, honesty, and connection with the audience. An artistic shift that is already a reality and is guiding the artist toward her musical maturity. With an unmistakable voice and a direct message, ESTHER reaffirms her role as the queen of Valencian pop.
