What measures are needed to create more visibility, hearing and safe(r) spaces for one of the largest minorities in our societies?
In this panel we’re looking at all segments of the live music sector and discuss short-term, medium-term and long-term possibilities.
Why is the social responsibility of festivals, labels and other players in our industry so closely interdependent? Are queer focused events and festivals excluding themselves, or is it the appeal that has been going on for years: change your structures!? How do bookers influence society's acceptance and tolerance levels through their work? How much do we live our credos internally? We also look at the geopolitical differences that can be circumvented for private-sector tour / event operators.
This panel is not concerned with pointing the finger at others an we're not starting with basic infos or explanations that each person needs to know. This session is intended to be a debate aimed at reaching those who feel that waving a rainbow flag would adequately address the issue. Let's talk together about LGBTIQA* people as a target group and one of the biggest social responsibilities of our industry facing harder times year by year.
